Taxi

The public taxis you will find at the taxi ranks just outside the terminals. Be aware that the prices of public taxis may change due to extra stops, holidays, weekends and or nightly hours.

Train

The Cercanias train stops every half hour at the Airport and either goes to Fuengirola or Malaga.

The Malaga airport train station is located just outside the new Terminal 3, at the Arrivals level. Look for the Cercanías logo at the airport to find your way to the train station. On their website www.renfe.com you will find updated information about routes, timetables and prices.

Some examples of the main stops of the C1 train-line:

  • Plaza Mayor (direction Fuengirola) – major entertainment centre which offers shopping, restaurants, cinemas, bowling and more.
  • Malaga-Maria Zambrano (direction Malaga) – Malaga’s main train station, which connects to other regional and national lines. Right next to the train station is located the central bus station.
  • Centro-Alameda (direction Malaga) – Located in the centre of Malaga and also the endpoint of the C1 line.

Bus

The bus stop at Malaga airport is located just outside the main arrivals hall.

For transportation to Malaga centre, busline no. 19 departs every half hour from the Airport. More information about departure times and available bus lines you can visit the website of the EMT (Malaga Bus Service). Prices are around 1 Euro and can be purchased when entering the bus. Be aware that this bus service is a public line and more passengers may enter at every bus stop!

For transportation direction Marbella you can use the busline of Portillo, the bus company for the Marbella area. Look for the coach marked MARBELLA at the main bus station.
