The councilor for Tourism in Mijas, Costa del Sol has presented the new web site www.vivemijas.com, an innovative tool to bring to all citizens the various touristic offers of this municipality, where are not only mentioned the traditional interesting spots but as well numerous events during the whole year.

The website is available in English and Spanish and made up with a fresh and dynamic design, that includes the possibility of consulting and downloading the magazine Vive Mijas, of which are distributed 5.000 copies each month. This virtual page will keep growing and incorporate new services and recourses of interest for future Tourists planning to visit Mijas.

In that sense, the councilor underlined the importance of this kind of initiatives, as tourists more often choose their holiday destination in function of Information from Internet instead of resorting to travel agencies.

The concept of Vive Mijas has as well a very good acceptance by the inhabitants of Mijas, as well show the more than 100 petitions for receiving the magazine Vive Mijas in electronic format, making altogether more than 3.000 persons who receive it inside and outside Spain. In Malaga opens the first low cost hotel with 125 rooms at 39 Euros

Accor chain opens in Malaga the first low cost hotel, Etap, with 125 rooms and is a new concept of accommodation in the centre of the town, in the street Calvo, at a rate of 39 Euros.

The category given by the Junta de Andalucía is one star “but it has nothing to do with a hostel” as pointed out by the chain. In fact, it is an increasingly widespread concept, with a minimalist design and already exists in other Spanish cities such as Granada, Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Bilbao, Gerona and more recently Oviedo.

This hotel is aimed predominantly at international clients who already know these establishments. In fact, in Europe there are more than 380 Etap in countries like Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Holland, Switzerland, etc.

Etap Málaga Centre offers customers Internet access via Wi-Fi in the rooms and also has a car park and proposes breakfast with branded products, varied and healthy for only 3.90 Euros.

Etap Hotel is an economy brand of Accor, which operates mainly in Europe and provides customers ‘low cost’, with rooms for one, two or three people. They are usually located near major roads, airports and in city centres.

Torremolinos will host in September one of the largest concentrations of Ferrari in Europe

One hundred of the legendary Ferrari sports car will meet in the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions in Torremolinos from the 2nd to the 12th of September.

Ferrari enthusiasts and lovers of engines in general will love this notice. In September the best Ferrari of all Europe will invade the town of Torremolinos to star in one of the largest concentrations of the history of the iconic Italian team.

The Costa del Sol will become for a few days at the headquarters of Ferrari, with the greatest exposure ever of these vehicles, only comparable to the one in the Ferrari factory in Maranello, the birthplace of the brand. It will be a unique opportunity to discover the most spectacular sporting cars of the “Cavallino Rampant” (The Prancing Horse).

One hundred Ferrari Sports cars, selected for their prestige, charisma, uniqueness and quotation, comprise the catalog of this show in the world of motor, organized by the Spanish Association of Owners of Ferrari and which will have their podium at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Torremolinos.

The exhibition will run from 2nd to 12th of September and will unite 35 more exclusive models of the entire history of the brand since its founding in 1947.

On September 4th, the engine roar is at its most spectacular point with the addition of another 70 units participating in the Competition of Regularity, organized by the association, which will take place along the route Granada-Torremolinos-Marbella.

Models such as the legendary Enzo, F50, F40, the 228 GTO, Daytona and the spectacular Testarrossa and the California can be seen along the streets of Costa del Sol on the way to the exhibition at the Palacio de Congresos of Torremolinos, an exhibition that in addition meets some other sports brands such as Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo and Masserati.

For mid-September is planned the opening of the new Automobile Museum in Malaga where will be installed a large exposition of cars, motors, objects created from parts of cars and there will be also several other activities related to this fascinating world.

There is a total of more than 80 different cars from the years between 1898 and 2010, including such remarkable models such as a steam driven car or one moved by a propeller. The most recent acquisition in the exposition is a prototype of ecological car moved by hydrogen.

Visitors of the Automobile Museum can enjoy a considerable exposition that includes a large number of different car models such as eccentric cars, tuned cars, British cars, cars that use alternative means to gasoline, cars designed as art pieces, dream cars and many more.

The different car models are grouped into several thematic areas which are describing the different styles that characterize the artistic developments of the twentieth century. Among this varied assortment are as well models representing major brands such as Hispanic, Bugatti, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Delage, Packard, Jaguar, Mercedes and Ferrari among many others.

Furthermore, there is a large selection of accessories such as upholstery in Bison, ostrich or crocodile, dashboards of pearl, ivory and silver handles, precious woods, headlights with Swarovski crystals, exotic accessories, etc., in other words, magnificent high-range cars in their entire grandeur.
